Hinsdale’s Plan Commission will consider a zoning change that would allow stadium lights in village parks. The move came after a vote Aug. 12 by trustees, according to a report in the Chicago Tribune. Village Manager Dave Cook said the proposal to allow lights up to 60 feet tall in the village’s open-space zoning districts would likely be heard by the Plan Commission at its Oct. 8. meeting. Trustee Bob Schultz said the proposal would likely benefit youths who use the parks for soccer and baseball.
